Your contract

Your contract includes, among other things, your own details and the details of the company where you will be working. It also states which joint industrial committee you work under and how many hours per week you will be required to work. In the event of a difference between your weekly hours and your annual hours, you may be entitled to compensatory leave. Naturally, your gross hourly wage is also stated. If you wish to convert this to a gross monthly salary, apply the following rule:

(gross hourly wage) x (number of weekly hours) x 4.3333

Please sign your contract weekly via e-signing. You can find more detailed information regarding the signing of electronic employment contracts on Interimsign.be.

Remuneration

Your salary will be paid weekly via bank transfer. Please provide us with your account number in a timely manner! We process your salary based on your timesheet (which we receive from the company you work for). Payment is made as follows: at the end of the work week, we receive your hours worked, which we then process at the beginning of the following week. At the end of that week, we instruct the bank to deposit your salary. Your salary will be in your account at the latest by the beginning of the week after that. For all subsequent deposits, this will occur at 7-day intervals.

You can monitor all of this perfectly via the payslip that you will manage yourself. You will receive a one-time email via Basware; here you can click on a link provided in the email. You must register here; subsequently, you can manage your own account regarding your personal payslips. Your payslip includes your gross salary, any bonuses, social security (RSZ) deductions, payroll tax (this is your tax prepayment), your travel expenses, any deductions for work clothing (a deposit that will be refunded at the end of your assignment when you have returned your work clothing), and finally, meal vouchers. Meal vouchers are electronic.

This personal card will be delivered to our office once, along with a covering letter explaining how to register yourself. If you have worked in the past and received electronic meal vouchers, this card will be taken over and the agreed amount per actual day worked will be automatically deposited onto this card every month. Please note! Keep this card with you at all times to avoid unnecessary costs for requesting a new card.

Social security contribution = 13.07% on 108% of your gross salary
Payroll tax = standard 20% (this can be adjusted individually upon request)

If you are working as an employee (white-collar), your holiday pay is also stated = 15.34% of your gross salary; 8% single holiday pay and 7.34% double holiday pay.

You are entitled to an end-of-year bonus if you have worked > 65 days between April 1 and March 31. This is paid out by the Social Fund for Temporary Agency Workers. This happens automatically if you meet the conditions for payment.

If you are working as a laborer (blue-collar), you will receive your holiday pay (15.34% of the gross salary) paid out once a year (May/June following the performance year). This happens automatically via the Annual Holiday Fund: National Office for Annual Holidays.

Sickness and leave

Are you sick? Please notify the company where you work and Itzu Jobs as soon as possible, and before your start time! Also mention the suspected duration of your illness. Your doctor’s certificate must be submitted to Itzu Jobs within 48 hours; otherwise, you will not receive guaranteed pay. Your guaranteed pay is paid for the duration of your contract (= max. 1 week). If you are sick for longer than the duration of your contract, you must notify your health insurance fund.

In the event of an industrial accident, or an accident on the way to or from work, you must notify Itzu Jobs as soon as possible. The declaration must be prepared by Itzu Jobs within 24 hours to comply with insurance regulations.

When you wish to take leave, you must request permission from your direct supervisor. Upon approval, you must report your leave to Itzu Jobs.

We wish you the best of luck with your brand-new challenge!
